Privacy policy
Last updated: 2 October 2026
In short: Kerblist keeps your shortlist, notes and price history on your computer. It has no account, no server of its own, no analytics and no ads.
When you open a property listing, it sends that listing’s postcode to HM Land Registry’s public service to look up sold prices. Nothing about you is sent.
This policy covers the Kerblist browser extension (“Kerblist”) and this website, kerblist.co.uk.
What Kerblist stores, and where
Kerblist stores the following in your browser’s own extension storage, on your computer:
- the homes you save: the details shown on the listing (address, price, photo link, property facts, agent) and the link to it;
- what you add: status, star rating, viewing date and notes;
- a record of prices and listing dates Kerblist has seen on search results and listings, so it can show changes such as “↓ £10k since you looked” (it keeps the most recent 4,000);
- sold-price results and house price index figures from HM Land Registry, kept for up to 7 days so they don’t need fetching again.
None of this is sent to Kerblist or anyone else. Kerblist has no account system and no server that receives your data.
What leaves your computer
Only requests to HM Land Registry’s public data service (landregistry.data.gov.uk), and only when you open a property listing page that shows a full postcode:
- Sold prices on the postcode. Kerblist sends the listing’s postcode and receives the recorded sales on it.
- Sold prices on the street, when the postcode has too few sales of the same type of home. Kerblist sends the street and town name, taken from HM Land Registry’s own records for that postcode.
- The UK House Price Index for the local area, used to show older sale prices in today’s money. Kerblist sends the area’s name, taken from the same records.
Separately, the photos in your shortlist load from the property site’s own servers, just as they do when you view the listing there.
The Land Registry requests contain no information about you. As with any website you visit, HM Land Registry’s servers can see your IP address and browser details; HM Land Registry’s personal information charter applies to that. The type of home and the asking price never leave your computer.
Pages Kerblist reads
Kerblist runs only on Rightmove, Zoopla and OnTheMarket. It reads the pages you open on those sites to show its information, and it never loads other pages in the background. It doesn’t read any other website you visit.
What Kerblist doesn’t do
- No analytics, tracking, advertising or profiling in the extension.
- No selling, renting or sharing of your data, and no use of it for credit or lending decisions.
- No code loaded from the internet: everything Kerblist runs is inside the extension you install.
Kerblist’s use of information received through browser extension permissions adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Your control
- Export: “Export CSV” downloads your shortlist as a file on your computer. Where it goes from there is up to you.
- Delete: remove any home from your shortlist at any time. Uninstalling Kerblist deletes everything it stored.
This website
kerblist.co.uk is hosted by Cloudflare. It sets no cookies and uses no tracking scripts. Visit counts come from Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts page views without cookies and without identifying you. Links from the extension to this website are ordinary links: if you click one, your visit is counted like any other. If you email us, we use your email address only to reply, or to send the update you asked for.
Children
Kerblist is meant for adults looking for a home. It isn’t aimed at children.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date. If Kerblist ever needs to send any other data, it will say so here first and ask you inside the extension.
